Bold Black and White Convertible Fan Fascinator - As Seen on Violet Chachki

Please note it will take at LEAST a week to make this.  On average it takes 1-3 weeks to make.  I might be able to accommodate rush orders though,  

The fan is made out of light balsam wood that has been strengthened,  lacquered, and sealed with a clear gloss finish.  It is attached to a circular black straw base, about 10 cm in diameter.  It is fixed in the open position.

It has a hat elastic and many loops attached.  It can be worn in many different positions, a few of which are shown.

If you want to know why this version costs so much more, it's because it takes at least 8 hours more to make.  I need to dissemble it, bake on the enamel and epoxies for each piece in several layers, gloss it, hand-wire each piece together, and disguise the wiring, etc.

CAUTION:  Be aware that the balsa wood hats are delicate.  Do not handle it roughly, do not expose to extreme temperatures, fire, or flame. Do not leave it with unattended children.
 

IMPORTANT:  If you are in a rush and/or you are do not want the hat strengthened, I can make a cheaper version of the fan hat ($25 less).  The fan will be painted, but WILL NOT be infused with wood strengtheners.  I do recommend this step though, as the fan is quite delicate without it.  Contact me before ordering if you are interested in this.
